Witcher, clone of Diablo, funny:)
It could of been worse, you could of put Gothic or Neverwinter Nights in the list:D
There rest of the list is pretty good. I find Dungeon Siege, Sacred and Titan Quest interesting, cause they bring something new. Dungeon siege has the skill growing while you use that type of weapon/magic. Sacred has the skill given by those runes, and in sacred 2 was nice cause you could change usless rune for the ones you needed. And titan quest had the dual class, which made it replayable and also the artifacts.

What i don’t understand is why everyone says torchlight is a good clone of Diablo. In my opinion it’s a clone of fate, and fate is a clone of diablo 1.
I found pretty boring, maybe because it didn’t have something original in it.

I didn’t play divine divinity, but i played divinity 2 and if felt more like an rpg than a hack and slash (or something in between)

While its obvious that Witcher didn’t really belong on that list. I am saddened by the lack of mention or praise of Titan Quest. The company did dissolve, but since then the community has transformed it into one of the BEST Dungeon Crawlers in existance bar none. Balanced to near perfection.

Get the Gold Edition ($5-8) and Download Underlord Mod.

Not even the more recent ones like Darkspore/Sacred 2/Torchlight can hold a candle to it.

witcher not the best but ok
diablo 2 is a one of a kind
sacred 2 is nearly as good
diablo 3 should be as good however hype means nothing
but torchlight is the best clone its from the creators of diablo

The Witcher is no diablo clone and has nothing to do with it, whatsoever.

As for the rest, good list. Titan Quest was lame though if you want my opinion, oh yes it has the potential of being very fun but nothing ever happens… It’s just npcs sending you on linear maps from point A to point B. You think something will finally happen when you change acts, well not even. You hear another npc throw 3 lines at you and send you from point B to C. At last, it is one of the most unstable game and a true memory leak… No matter how performant your PC is, and I mean it.. no matter how of a PC beast you got, you’ll keep crashing randomly, some won’t. No solution, pure luck (whoever wants to throw shit at this, check out their official website.. they admit it themselves). So get your mouse ready to talk to an npc, walk a map, enter a cave, repeat. One plus though, visuals are great and it’s one of the rare diablo clone with such variety on equips visuals. (Why focus on titan quest, cause i just feel i wasted money for a box of crap last week lol)
