Chaos Faction is the flash Super Smash Bros. There’s nonstop action from one end to the other. With three modes of play there are hours of entertainment hidden in one little package.
The gameplay, other then being like Super Smash Bros., is flawless. The smooth transition between menus and music makes the whole game experience more enjoyable. The amount of customization allowed is a plus as well. It allows you to customize your controls, character, and even your stages!
When you start the campaign, there are three modes of difficulty; easy, medium, or hard. They are definitely correctly named. The easy levels are simply a bad guy trying to hit you, the medium levels are you struggling to stay alive, and the hard levels are you getting pummeled. As you progress though you collect weapons of great or small power that can help you stay in the game.
Survival mode is just that; survival. A classic never ending battle between you and the computer. It is the only one that you can submit your score to though, which is kind of annoying, but it makes sense. You start from stage one and enemy one and work your way to the end.
The deathmatch mode can also be hectic, especially if you play with six characters. Unfortunately, you can’t play with another human, only AI players.
The bad things about the game are that there are a lot of particle effects, so if you have a slow computer, you will have to use the lower graphics quality. Another thing is the level editor. The screen is pretty small, and you can’t delete things once you put them on there. The short music loops get tiring after a while, especially if you are working on a level in the editor. The controls don’t seem to be very responsive and the stages too hard in the medium and hard levels either.
Casualty Tips:
• If the medium or hard levels start to frustrate you, leave and come back to them.
• Make your character look really cool; it might motivate you.
• Don’t stay in the menu too long or the music will drive you mad!
• Have a fool-proof strategy ready for the hard levels. I suggest: Running away until a powerful weapon comes up and grab it and use it on the baddie.

The game has a few flaws, but 6.9 is a bit harsh don’t you think.
One thing I’d like to add is that the death-match mode has a massive amount of variation. You can control the weapons, the type of match and the level of the CPU to name just a few. Overall an amazing game.

I liked playing it when I first got into online gaming but I haven’t gone back and played it, I’ll have to try it again sometime.

The game is really nice.
I think the review was a little bit too harsh though.
