Warlords: CtA is the game that caught my attention this week it’s not a particularly great game but it’s fun. Your goal in Warlords is to overcome the enemy by sending waves upon waves of units towards their line… Your opponents goal is same.
During combat units can be sent at different positions on the battlefield, but the game essentially comes down to rock/paper/scissor mechanics, each unit has a counter-unit, thus you need to watch what’s coming your way and out think your opponent and send the most efficient counter units to your opponents.
During the single player campaign your goal is the take over every zone, and as you progress each zone gets more and more difficult, although each time you finish a zone you can go to shop and buy new unit types and upgrades.
Lots of different tactics can be used, although sadly the simplest strategy seems to be the best against the AI, eg. spamming non-stop spear men in a single row.
Multiplayer can be fun, although sadly it is restricted to one computer
A few negatives, it’s in desperate need of a pause button, a increase speed button, maybe a storyline and some more detailed backgrounds.
Casualty Tips:
- Make sure to turn on auto-send units.
- You can surrender then restart any battle to get extra money without increasing the difficulty.
- It’s quite possible to win just by spamming spear men and spending all the money on upgrading them.
Nemesis
This game is good for the first 30 minutes or so, and then when you start going against harder enemies it gets really boring and really repetitive. I agree that it needs something else to keep you playing, like a storyline, but I don’t know if there are plans for a W:CtA 2. If so, this may be implemented.

Super nemesis
never buy scouts. They’re a waste of unit storage and money. The map screen need some details like mountains, rivers etc.

Great article, but a frustrating read, due to the lack of proper punctuation in a lot of spots. Please close your quotations! If this article is following some sort of nouveau grammatical style, of which I’m not aware, I remain frustrated; however, I apologize.
