Much better then Initial Impressions
Amorphous+ is quite a simple game, it’s basically destroy as many blobs as you can with your gigantic sword. Yet it somehow makes for a very addictive experience.
When you first start the game you are swamped by green blobs, which gives the impression that there isn’t much to the game but after a few minutes the more ‘interesting’ blobs start to appear, such as the Acid filled which when killed leaves puddles of acid on the battlefield, homers who chase you and try to eat you, shooters who (non-surprisingly) try to shoot you… And the aforementioned are just the weaker blobs, a lot more epic ones follow.

Although ultimately what gives this game it’s lasting appeal is the award system, you get awards for completing goals or doing impressive feats. For each 10 awards you get you can unlock a new item which can be used to boast your strength, your armor or add a random ability, each adds its own fun factor to the game(although some are noticeably worse then others).

Amorphous has no storyline, very bland backdrops but based purely on the gameplay it makes a very solid and fun game.

4 out of 5 Blobs
