Indie: Metroid 2 PC Remake
By: Colin Robinson | October 25th, 2008

Metroid 2 the under-appreciated bridge between Metroid and Super Metroid has recently been painstakingly remade by a dedicated fan, the graphics are on par with the SNES Metroid graphics and thus is a definite step up from the original monochrome gameboy version.
Although it’s still only a demo, it looks like it could make for a great remake(..catchy rhyme). Grab the latest version here, trailer after the jump.
Best to grab it while you can as it probably wont be long until the big N kills the project, or for those who want to see the entire game but don’t want to play it here is a complete speed run.

I never much liked the Metroid series not much of a hardcore fan, which was odd because I liked Blaster Master, it’s just like I dislike Resident Evil 4, yet I like Dead Space.

I hope Nintendo doesn’t put an end to this. Seems like an awesome project that will not go unappreciated.

If Nintendo sees it, it would seem like the intelligent thing for them to do would be to just pay the guy for it and release it for Wiiware or DSI or something, rather than cease and desist it.
