I would say close in comparison to legend of dragon in quality… for me personally i like it better, but it holds more nostalgia for me as opposed to dragoon as i didnt play dragon until multiple years after. Got a psx when i was like…8 or something got spyro the dragon, loved the hell out of it, then went straight to legend of legaia. Im pretty sure legaia is my favorite psx game… i think…

Everyone who says “Why is legend of legaia not on the list?” understands that its obvious he didn’t play it… If he had it would obviously be on the list.. To anyone who has not played legend of legaia, you are truly missing out. One of THE BEST psx rpgs hands down

Imho FF7 was great but not the best… Xenogears was much better. People also mentioned Legend of Legaia which gets super boring after a while! And I’m sorry I don’t see what the big deal is worth legend of dragoon. Too linear and basic to ever be fun. Saga frontier is just gay…

I take replay value as being a game that is worth playing playing over and over from time to time to make sure you have done everything. When I found out I didn’t get a character or find weapons on the deep dungeon and when I thought of job combo that would rock I tried these things. After a while the extras in FF7 just lost their luster for me.

WHY is LEGEND OF LEGAIA not in ur list?? have u played that game?? TRY IT, and im sure it will be in ur top 10 or maybe in ur top 5!!!! i hate ff7 in the top 2 list, that game didnt appeal to me at all>>

@knopps How is Final Fantasy Tactics better in replay value than ff7? I don’t know anyone in their right mind who FULLY beat FFT and started a new profile to do it again!

May not deserve a spot in the top 10, however, I used to enjoy Legend of Legaia when I was younger… Going to look into Vagrant Story, only one I have played on the list…..

Good List man…But I would say for me…

Let me start by saying this list is boiled down for me, and my taste in the idea of Gameplay, Fun Factor, Storyline and Replay Value. Some people may Crucify me for putting FFVII where I have but for me it just doesn’t have the replay value like those ahead. I know there are side quest that I have yet to actually do…but when I think of the time to do them and what I will be getting I don’t see the need to do some of them. But either way here is mine.

10 Legend of Dragon
09 Thousand Arms
08 Wild Arms
07 Saga Frontier
06 Final Fantasy XIII or XII (having a hard time picking one over the other but I feel both don’t deserve to be in the list at the same time.)
05 Grandia
04 Suikoden
03 Star Ocean Second Story Complete
02 Final Fantasy Tactics
01 Xenogears

I played all of these whent hey were released for PS1 and LoD, Chrono Cross, FF7, Grandia, Lunar 2 Eternal Blue complete (actual ending), Star Ocean 2nd story, xenogears, FF9, Castlevania SOTN, and Valkyrie Profile are top games in my mind. I enjoyed FF7 quite a bit, but in comparison to how they felt playing on release Grandia was and always will be one of my favorite games due to story line and loveable characters.
