Everyone’s favorite upcoming quirky FPS has just been delayed until next year, sadly as much I was hoping it would come out this year it seemed inevitable to be delayed with the massive scope this game has. Hopefully the extra development time give them enough time to make it a perfect game.
You can read our interview with the ZenoClash team here, also the new screenshots after the jump.
We’d like to communicate that we’ve decided to push the release date of Zeno Clash to early next year. The studio will be aiming for a February release. The bright side of the delay is that the additional time we’ll spend on the game will ensure that we deliver a quality experience, true to the expectations of our fans. Being an independant studio has allowed us to develop this game without external pressures, so we chose not compromise the game’s quality by releasing this year.

Gotta love the look of this game. It’s not often an indie studio takes on such an ambitious project.

Still no word as which system the game is going to be for?

It’s a PC game. They’re distributing over the Steam network. A console release seems unlikely since it’s going to be a short game like Portal, but I guess they could do a Live or PSN release down the line if it’s a success. Porting to the 360 would probably be fairly simple since it’s using the source engine.
