Owl Boy lands with a Hoot

Announced late last week is the new game by D-Pad Studio, Owl Boy. Owl Boy is an upcoming 2D adventure platformer available on Windows and the XBox360.

The artwork looks fantastic, and the artist has described the game as a ‘free-roaming adventure game with dungeons’. With a unconfirmed release date of 2009 it definitely looks like it will be something worth holding out for.

World of Goo, gone gold.

The physics based puzzler World of Goo has just been announced as going gold, the PC release is aimed to be out mid-november with the WiiWare release coming soon after.

The World of Goo definitely looks like it is going to be a stand out puzzler, with artwork on the level of Braid and amazingly unique gameplay, expect a review as soon as it comes out.

Braid the time bending 2d platformer will be finally getting its release this Wednesday, Braid has fantastic artwork, very unique puzzles and is already an award winning game even before its release.

Braid is landing with one of the more expensive Live costs of 1200 points, but no doubt it’ll be worth it.

The long awaited side scrolling platformer has finally been released, and you can nab it for only $5 on Steam.

The soundtrack is wonderful and the artwork is amazing  but sadly the gameplay is a bit on the simple side and un-refined (jumping between platforms can definitely lead to a bit of frustration), although nonetheless if you are into Indie games this is definitely worth checking out.
