In our continued video coverage of the Indie gaming world we present the Top 5 PC Indie Games released in October, enjoy.

Audiosurf which we picked as number 1 in our Top budget steam games is now only $2.49 to buy, and the special only lasts for 1 week so hurry!
As mentioned in our previous article Audiosurf is a very simplistic game, basically you pilot a ship to music. The games environment is based on whatever songs(mp3s) you make available for the game, once started you have to collect blocks to try and build a combo to your selected song. Audiosurf does it in such an addictive way that you’ll want to play all your songs to try and compete for the best possible score on the leaderboard.

Genocide Automation (GA) is a quirky little war simulator that was shown at the Sense of Wonder Night, an event at the Tokyo game show that featured indie games that were truly unique.
In GA, there are two armies, the orange and the blue. For whatever reason, they are annoyed with eachother, and try to annialate eachother; hence the genocide. Both armies will follow set patterns, and when the battle is finished the better pattern will remain, and the losing side will try a different algorithm. This is all automatic; the game only allows you very minimal interaction- you can make the orange side move towards your mouse, or, if you right click, away from your mouse. Just a heads up; this game is in Japanese, which doesn’t matter much, but the boot menu and the documentation are very confusing if you don’t know Japanese.

Penumbra: Overture is free on Gametap until Novermber 5th. To my understanding, as long as you download it before that date you get to keep it for free, indefinitely, so long as you don’t uninstall it. I won’t write a review for it since it’s been out for over a year and reviewed by many sites already.
However, it is an indie game and looks quite amazing. Even if you aren’t interested right now, grab it anyways. It’s free and it looks like an awesome game. If you don’t get it, you might have regrets later when I review the sequel and you realize how awesome the series is. On the positive side, you will have saved yourself the expense of replacement undergarments.

Spectraball is one of those games where you control a ball and roll it around, think Marble Blast or Monkey Ball. It contains a few neat features to set it apart from the crowd, but the core gameplay is the same.

Multiwinia is not like other real time strategy games. Multiwinian’s have no time for resource management, no time to build structures, no time to evolve. No, all of that is in the past. War has broken out in Darwinia and it’s time for full-throttle retro-arcade combat. If you think you have what it takes to help end this war, join us here at Casualty Gamer in our campaign against the other-colored flat people.

The Aussie crew over at Toadtrip.com released their debut PC title ‘Zompocalypse’ late last week, Zompocalypse is a hardcore 2D Zombie shoot em up, full of foul language and loads of gore.
I think in our beta coverage we best summed up the game, ‘In Zompocalypse equipped with destructive weaponry take on hordes of Zombies, solo or with a partner… Think Metal Slug except zombiefied and you’ll be get a rough idea of what this game is like.’ Check out the trailer after the jump.
