Small time developer Doublesix is bringing out their first PSN game titled ‘Burn Zombie Burn’, it’s currently scheduled only for the PSN but a XBLA version is more then likely. Burn Zombie Burn looks like it will play similar to the flash game Box Head, aka arena based zombie carnage.
It seems like it could be decent for a quick pick and play game, trailer after the jump

On Monday, Sony announced PS3 Firmware 2.50 and PSP Firmware 5.0. These may be the best firmware updates for both systems– for the PS3, it’s easily the best since the PS3 got trophies and in-game XMB. I have read that these will be coming out tomorrow, and that the PS3 will be getting Flash 9 support in addition to the features below, but I have yet to find official confirmation of this. The Playstation blog is notably silent.
Here’s what you can expect:

The finest Anti-Gravity racing game on the market
The Wipeout series has long been around on PlayStation consoles. From the game’s beginnings in the mid-nineties on the original PlayStation, to the more recent editions on the PSP, Wipeout has always combined state of the art graphics with fun and challenging gameplay to create a terrific combat racing experience. Get equipped…with retro greatness!
Before the nuts-and-bolts review, first a story that old school Megaman gamers will appreciate.
In anticipation of Megaman 9’s release, I blew through MM2 and MM3 the week before. Despite the fact that I hadn’t played them in years, I completed them without much effort. Shocking for me, since when I was younger, they both caused me great angst, cursing, and controller throwing. And yet, here I am, crushing both of them with the expertise of a speed runner. I was worried; was Megaman truly not the great challenge I once thought it to be? And will the same translate into the 9th edition? My fears really became heightened when I first began playing Megaman 9. I began with Galaxy Man’s stage, since I had heard through the grapevine that he was the “first” boss that should be conquered. I sped through the stage and downed Galaxy Man on the first try. Without losing a single life. Now I had real doubts about the “challenge” that MM9 was going to deliver. Read more… »

Who needs Geometry when you have spaceships?
Super Stardust HD, released on June 15, 2007 in North America, is one of many games in the twin-stick shooter genre that was more or less created by Geometry Wars. Stardust wasn’t the first twin-stick shooter on the PSN, but it’s easily the best. This game hits in all areas, from its gorgeous graphics and driving sci-fi soundtrack to it’s tight controls. When you add expanded game modes through downloadable add-ons and trophy support, this is one of the strongest titles the PSN has to offer.
