I think, it could be quite funny to combine a politics game with a political alignment test site like http://www.politicaltest.net/eng Do you think, or do you know anything like that?

Pretentiously, I just hit 60 and am actually short on gold for my 60 epic land mount. I plot to toe-hold around 500-1,000
. Anyone conscious of any to do so?

Thanks

Well as Nationstates 2 closed anyway (poor Max Berry, sorry for him!), http://www.ars-regendi.com seems to be a good alternative in interactive nation building :)

NS2 ROCKS! I played NS1 for a while, but got bored. I found out about NS2 and have been absolutely hooked for about four months. In so many ways it beats out NS1.

I like the game a lot, I never played NS1 but NS2 is really cool. Also the new features that they are adding will make this a really awesome game...MAP'S WOULD BE GREAT !!! The Enemy/ally feature is cool, as well as the voting on topics and the forums in the game are informative...If anyone is interested in playing check it out at www.nationstates2.com if you are interested in looking me up my country name is "Retili Pennae" which means Red Wings in Latin "Go Detroit"

If all you played NS1 for was the legislative issues, you'll love NS2 to death.

All the "extra features" are things that we invented in NS1 years ago... on the off-site forums, which is where the real political simulation happens. Maps? Got them. War? Got it. Politics and manipulation of alliances? Totally. But there is no possibility of that kind of political interaction at a game-wide level in NS2, and forget "war" being a cure-all unless they drastically redo the way the system works right now. Why? Because there is no way to gain any kind of competitive advantage. There is nothing to fight for. If you want to play as an individual, fine. That's not why I play NS, and that's not why anyone I know ever played it.

If I wanted a game founded on my individual nation and its GDP, I would've gone and played CyberNations.

I disagree, Nation States 2 is Nation States 1 with a sack full of extra features. Custom flags are not that important and are easily made up for thanks to the new Alliance and History Editing systems.

One thing I would like, though, is territorial maps. It would make war far more fruitful.
