NationStates is an online game that allows you to dictate and be master of your own conspiracy theories by giving you the chance to run your very own country for just a few minutes of your time as often or as not-so-often as you please.

Thankfully, all your citizens are (I really hope) mere pixels on your screen and therefore none of your judgments actually affect anything in the real world whatsoever, allowing your experiments with their lives and livelihoods to not get you thrown into jail. This has led to an extremely varied audience participating within the international community there, ranging from classes full of schoolchildren learning to be responsible citizens to crazed sadists desperate to execute as many of their own nation’s inhabitants as possible.

The second episode of TakeTwo is now available for viewing, this episode in my opinion is vastly better then the pilot episode.

Casualty Gamer: The Game, Tomorrow
Site news, Published August 26th, 2008 by Wolfull

Tomorrow will see the launch of the Beta version of ‘Casualty Gamer: The Game’, although as being a beta product the first release will only have limited features to ensure we don’t place too much burden on the server.

So expect a few glitches with the website tomorrow as the new system is installed, also on a side note sorry for the lack of articles lately but I’ve been purposely holding them back ready for the new system release.

Look forward to it!

Casualty Gamer: The Game.. Soon~
Site news, Published August 25th, 2008 by Wolfull

Previously scheduled to be released last week although sadly it didn’t make the deadline, but thanks to Chris we have got a bunch of new artwork done for the achievements and levels.

The game is coming along as planned, and there is currently nothing major holding it up.. I’m just making sure everything is working as planned before release, expect it soon!

WiiWare Review: Strong Bad Episode 1 WiiWare
WiiWare, Published August 25th, 2008 by Chris

From the moment I turned on this game to the moment I turned it off I experienced a rapid degradation of enjoyment. I played it on the Wii and was hoping this would be one of those games which stood out from the bad game influx on WiiWare; as the StrongBad e-mail animations are hilarious. But what I got was a smack in the face, Just to make this look more professional here is an in-depth review to tell you why it sucks:

Not being very specific, Jason Ing informed Joystiq that the re-release of Duke Nukem 3D will be available for the Xbox Live Arcade sometime in September. Minimal graphic enhancement is seen in this Xbox exclusive title, not unlike the Doom remake for XBLA.

PSN Review: High Velocity Bowling PSN
PSN, Published August 23rd, 2008 by ndring

A far cry from your local “Mega Bowl” with its nauseating carpet designs and questionable facilities, High Velocity Bowling is a beautifully crafted game and the first on PSN (and possibly in PS3 history) to get the SIXAXIS just right.

Travian is a brower-based strategy game, which you can play for free, or get a luxury version with added tools for a very modest fee. But unlike other games which hold your attention intensively for a short period of time, Travian belongs to a category of games you could call passive web gaming. It only needs your attention for a minute or two, whether its once or twice per day, for a period of weeks or months.

Very often, while I’m chatting with people in the Kongregate.com chat rooms, the question will come up: “Do you know any good games?” There’s a list of classic responses that people get that basically name the top 5 highest rated / most popular games on the site. While this is an accurate list of “good games”, I tend to like to throw a curve ball in there and give them something they’re not expecting and might not hear of by looking around on the site on their own. So my answer is invariably: “Have you tried Areas?”

The Top 7 Artificial Characters Feature
Features, Published August 21st, 2008 by HailToTheGun

Artificial characters bring something special to a game. Often, they provide comic relief and serve as the light-heart of an otherwise deeply involved game. Sometimes they’re the voice of reason, serving as a pseudo-conscience to the main character(s).

And even still, they have been used as antagonistic characters, whether being manipulated by a greater evil or acting as the game’s main villain itself. Whatever the case, they are just as memorable as their organic-counterparts, and in this list, I will count down the top 7 artificial characters in video games.
