Broken Review: Kaleidoscope Reef
By: JudeMaverick | September 27th, 2008

Dear George W. Bush, As homo sapiens, we procrastinate and we do not like writing long sentences therefore, we abbreviate ‘I am’ to ‘I’m’. This shows how lazy we are and thus, we use shortcuts like littering. We all know littering is bad; our parents have told us umpteen times that littering especially dumping in the sea harms the environment and etc etc. We can’t kick our lazy habit straight away so we need a plan to clean up the seven seas but that is a very massive project so instead, we’ll let the aquatic animals do it. Why? This game convinced me that aquatic animals should do the work and not us. You can complain about its absurdness but we also have other problems to deal with like checking our e-mail for spam!

If you are not convinced, there are reasons why this game influenced my decision. First of all, the gameplay is rather interesting. You see, you drag a sea anemone and put it on the floor. Then, you put the according colored plankton to the same colored sea anemone. It is that simple and it is done neatly. The best thing is that this idea is a revolutionary theory and nobody has done this before which is why US should do it first before the other countries do so for we will be noted in history textbooks around the world, showing our supremacy to the very eyes of our students.

Mind you sir, but the graphics are pleasing to your eyes. If you ever played Anika’s Odyssey, you could expect the same graphics again. It’s a wonderful artwork and if you want, I could contact the graphic designers for a painting to put in your house once you retire and you can look at it during your free time.

Assuming that you, sir, has an iPod, I am not entirely sure if this music will be in your iPod. Sure, it fits the mood but it’s not that engaging enough. The sound effects, however, is actually pretty good but not iPod-worthy since they’re after all sound effects. If you had a meeting while playing this game, you could mute the music and sound effects in the pause screen.

Like all games, this game has some flaws and so do your almost-perfect presidency. I am not saying that I hate the administration but you did a great job on the White House. Your sense of humor is undeniably funny and the way you tap-dance, I assure, will make you the winner of Dancing with the Stars. As I was saying, the game can be boring sometimes since there is no action or anything. The gameplay can too dull for some of us and you might hate it. I cannot blame you at all if you do hate it since it is one of those games that only interests people who love design and art.

We can make the world a better place if we start doing what the game does. It might be dull to the workers but it is what’s best to all of us who thrive for a greener world. Please do consider this proposal carefully and reply me ASAP. Thank you for reading this.

Nice review sounds like it could be a boring game though.

Its slowpaced and somewhat relaxing but I wouldn’t call it boring. Actually it’s short enough with some puzzle elements thrown in to save it from being boring and too repetitive. Sometimes I prefer a relaxing explorative gameplay over dull action.

It’s very slow-paced, thus I said, “The gameplay can too dull for some of us and you might hate it. I cannot blame you at all if you do hate it since it is one of those games that only interests people who love design and art.”

The game is too slow and dull.
The art is awesome, but the gameplay is not good.

I have to agree completely with Shadow’s comment.
