Sometimes when the boss man is asleep we can sneak in a few opinion pieces here at Casualty Gamer. Unfortunately his wrath is legendary so I feel like I should point out this is an opinion piece and nothing more. Right. On with it then.

The re-release of Duke Nukem 3D for the Xbox360 has just got a release date, September 24. The release date was slipped in the latest Game Trailer TV episode. The re-release looks to be a straight up port of the original except with the additional features of time rewinding and demo recording.
Now we just need Lo Wang to return, check out the gameplay footage after the jump.

Many kids love seals and are usually mad at the eskimos who hunt them since seals are adorable and very cute. One day, a hero popped up in the Arctic and started clubbing seal clubbers for revenge and cash since human skin hides are pretty profitable. Armed with only one close-ranged weapon, a wooden club, and its cute black eyes as round as a ball, the hero is unmistakable. Its name is, Clubby the Seal.

Here’s one to keep an eye on folks. It seems the good people over at Minor studios are developing a set of 3d platformer creation tools for Mac and PC users. The game/tool is called Atmosphir and it’s in beta testing as we speak.

Announced late last week is the new game by D-Pad Studio, Owl Boy. Owl Boy is an upcoming 2D adventure platformer available on Windows and the XBox360.
The artwork looks fantastic, and the artist has described the game as a ‘free-roaming adventure game with dungeons’. With a unconfirmed release date of 2009 it definitely looks like it will be something worth holding out for.

Users with access to the Japanese Virtual Console rejoice, because you’ll be able to download Mega Man 9 from the Virtual Console Store for 1000 Wii points on September 24.
Release dates for Europe and America are still pending, but with the game difference being text only translations it shouldn’t take too long, right?
